A critical situation has unfolded in the Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala as the Central Water Commission (CWC) issues a severe flooding alert for River Neyyar in Aruvipuram. The latest data from the CWC indicates that the river is currently flowing at a perilous level of 8.8 meters, surpassing its danger level of 8.0 meters.
The rising trend in the river’s water level, currently at 0.80 meters above the danger mark, is a cause for significant concern. The CWC’s official flood forecast underscores the urgency of the situation, calling for immediate attention and precautionary measures to mitigate the potential impact of severe flooding in the region.
