A fire incident occurred during the Bhasma Aarti at the esteemed Mahakaleshwar Temple, resulting in 14 injuries, including the priest, Sanjeev. The fire, ignited by gulal blown onto the priest, spread rapidly due to chemicals present in the substance.

Ujjain Collector Neeraj Singh confirmed that all injured individuals are stable and undergoing treatment in the hospital. A magisterial inquiry has been initiated to investigate the cause of the fire, with a report expected within three days.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the injured at the district hospital in Ujjain and ensured they received the best medical care. Following his instructions, eight injured individuals were transferred to Aurobindo Hospital in Indore for further treatment.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed concern over the incident, emphasizing the need for swift action and support for the injured. Investigations and efforts for the well-being of those affected are ongoing, with authorities closely monitoring the situation.
