UP Police Computer Operator Grade-A: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has recently unveiled an opportunity for aspiring candidates with the announcement of direct recruitment to the position of Computer Operator Grade-A. The recruitment drive aims to fill these positions within the Uttar Pradesh Police Force, offering a chance for eligible individuals to contribute to the state’s law enforcement.
- Application Period: The application window is set to run from January 7 to January 28, 2024. Prospective candidates are encouraged to seize this opportunity and submit their applications promptly.
- Age Limit: Candidates applying for the Computer Operator Grade-A position should be between 18 to 28 years old as of July 1, 2023. Birthdates ranging from July 1, 1995, to July 1, 2005, fall within the acceptable range.
- Application Fee: A nominal application fee of Rs. 400 is applicable for all categories. Payment can be made through E-Challan, Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet Banking Mode.
Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed their Intermediate (12th) examination with Physics and Mathematics subjects from a recognized board. Additionally, they should have passed the “O” Level examination in Computers from the Department of Electronics Accredited in Computer and Communication (DOEACC). Alternatively, a Diploma in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Electronics Engineering from the Council of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government is also acceptable.
- Pay Scale: Selected candidates for the Computer Operator Grade-A posts will enjoy a competitive salary in the range of Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100, with the pay band set at Rs. 5,200 – 20,200 and a Grade Pay of Rs. 2,400 in the new pay matrix.
- Recruitment Process: The selection process includes an Online Written Exam, Document Verification, Skill Test/Type Test/Steno Test, and a Final List.
Exam Pattern:
The Online Written Exam comprises 200 questions, each carrying 1.25 marks for a correct answer. The exam covers subjects such as General Knowledge, Mental Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and Computer Science. The Exam time is 2 hours.
