Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, personally shared the first official images of the Xiaomi SU7 on X, showcasing the seamless connection between the vehicle, smartphones, and smart home accessories. The accompanying caption, “Hello, Xiaomi SU7 Welcome to Human x Car x Home,” suggests a holistic approach to the integration of the car into the user’s lifestyle.

The EV launch event, hosted by Jun on Christmas Day through X, emphasized Xiaomi’s commitment to exploring and advancing electric vehicle technology. The event, held at 2:00 pm Beijing time, focused exclusively on the technological aspects driving Xiaomi’s electric vehicles. The digital stream of the launch event was made available on Xiaomi’s official YouTube channel.

It’s worth noting that Xiaomi has been generating anticipation in the market since announcing its foray into electric vehicle manufacturing. The Xiaomi SU7, presented in two variations—one with Lidar and one without—provides customers with a choice between Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and All-Wheel Drive (AWD) powertrain options. The electric sedan will be released in three variants: SU7, SU7 Pro, and SU7 Max.

As Xiaomi makes its mark in the electric vehicle sector, the SU7 signals the company’s commitment to innovation and the integration of smart technologies into the automotive landscape. With a focus on performance, connectivity, and user experience, Xiaomi’s entry into the EV market is poised to make a significant impact.
