Chaitra Navratri 2024: The first day of the Chaitra Navratri 2024 month’s Shukla Paksha falls on the ninth of April, marking the auspicious beginning of the Hindu New Year. This day also initiates the nine-day festival of Navratri, during which devotees perform puja and rituals to honor the nine forms of the Mother Goddess.

According to religious beliefs, observing fasts during Navratri and conducting the puja of Goddess Durga with adherence to prescribed rituals can fulfill all desires. This Chaitra Navratri, there is no lunar eclipse occurring, ensuring that all nine days are dedicated solely to the worship of the divine mother.

The auspicious timing of establishing the kalash (sacred vessel) is crucial. It is recommended to perform this ritual during the designated muhurat, from five in the morning on the ninth of April until sunrise. The first day of Chaitra Navratri commences with the Pratipada Tithi of the Shukla Paksha, starting at 11:55 PM on the eighth of April and concluding at 9:43 PM on the ninth of April.

Chaitra Navratri officially begins on the ninth of April, based on the sunrise time. Additionally, there will be an Abhijit Muhurat on the same day, spanning from 11:33 AM to 12:24 PM, during which any auspicious activities can be undertaken.

This period holds immense significance for devotees, offering them the opportunity to seek blessings and embark on spiritual endeavors during the auspicious festival of Chaitra Navratri.
