Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has unveiled another significant gift from the Modi government for sugarcane farmers across the country. In a crucial decision approved by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the purchase price of sugarcane has been increased from Rs 315 per quintal to Rs 340 per quintal for the upcoming 2024-25 sugarcane season.
Speaking on this development, Dharmendra Pradhan emphasized the importance of this decision, highlighting its direct impact on over 5 crore sugarcane farmers and their families. This increase in the purchase price is expected to provide much-needed relief and support to sugarcane growers, contributing to their economic well-being.
“Furthermore, Dharmendra Pradhan underscored that this move is in line with Prime Minister Modi’s commitment to doubling farmers’ income. By ensuring a fair and remunerative price for sugarcane, the government aims to empower farmers and enhance their livelihoods”.
“The decision to raise the purchase price of sugarcane reflects the government’s unwavering dedication to the welfare of farmers and the agricultural sector. It represents yet another historic step towards realizing the vision of a prosperous and resilient agricultural ecosystem under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi”.
As sugarcane farmers across the country welcome this significant increase in the purchase price, Dharmendra Pradhan reaffirmed the government’s steadfast commitment to supporting farmers and ensuring their prosperity.
