The 17th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention Is Being Organized In Indore From 08-10 January.

The Government of India’s flagship event is the Pravasi Bhartiya Divas (PBD) convention. It provides an important platform to engage and connect with the diaspora and enable the diaspora to interact with each other. The 17th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention is being organized in Indore from 08-10 January 2023 in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh government.

Pravasi: Reliable Partners for India’s Growth in the Age of Amrit” is the theme of this PBD conference. Over 3,500 members from around 70 countries have registered for the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention.

The PBD Convention will be divided into three parts. Yuva Pravasi Bhartiya Divas will be inaugurated on 08 January 2023 in partnership with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. R.O.E.S Heroes The Guest of Honour at the Youth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas will be Ms. Zaneta Mascarenhas, Australian Parliament Member.

On 09 January 2023, the PBD convention will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, and the Chief Guest, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Irfan Ali, President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, and the Guest of Honor, Honorable President of the Republic of Suriname H.E. Mr. Chandrikaprasad Santokhi,

A Commemorative Postal Stamp titled ‘Surakshit Jaayen, Prashikshit Jaayen’ will be released to underline the importance of safe, legal, orderly, and skilled migration. The first-ever digital PBD Exhibition on the theme “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav – Contribution of Diaspora in Indian Freedom Struggle” will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister to highlight the highlight assistance of our diaspora freedom fighters in India’s Independence. A special Town Hall will also be organized on January 09 in view of India’s ongoing Presidency of the G20.

On 10 January 2023, Hon’ble President, Draupadi Murmu will present Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Puraskar 2023 and will preside over the concluding session. The Pravasi Bhartiya Samman Award is presented to select members of the Indian diaspora to recognize their achievements and honor their contributions to various fields both in India and abroad.
