The heartening clip was shared by Joyee, a teacher, on her Instagram account. In the video, Joyee can be seen presenting the auto-rickshaw driver with a brand new water bottle, replacing the old plastic one he used.
Expressing her motivation behind the gesture, Joyee mentioned that the driver faithfully transported her from school every day, prompting her to want to do something special for him. Over time, she noticed the humble plastic bottle he used for drinking water and felt compelled to upgrade it to a better one as a token of appreciation.
“I have been thinking for a long time that I will gift him a bottle instead of this plastic bottle. Today is Labour Day and today I gifted him a bottle as best as I could,” Joyee wrote, reflecting on her decision to surprise the driver.
