India reported 473 new cases of coronavirus infection, bringing the total Covid case tally to 449.86 lacks (4,49,86,934). The number of active cases decreased to 7,623, which now accounts for only 0.02 percent of the total infections.
The national COVID-19 recovery rate stands at an impressive 98.80 percent, with a total of 4,44,47,472 people having successfully recuperated from the disease. The death toll has reached 5,31,839, including seven recent fatalities, with Kerala reporting one fatality that had been reconciled.
The case fatality rate is recorded at 1.18 percent. Encouragingly, the country has administered an impressive 220.66 crore doses of Covid vaccines as part of the nationwide vaccination drive.
