Under the nationwide vaccination drive in India, a total of 220.66 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far, including 95.21 crore second doses and 22.87 crore precaution doses. In the last 24 hours, 1,636 doses were administered, further contributing to the ongoing vaccination efforts.
Currently, India’s active caseload stands at 16,498, which accounts for only 0.04% of the total cases. The recovery rate is impressively high at 98.78%, with 2,720 recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,44,31,137. There have been 1,223 new cases reported in the same period, resulting in a daily positivity rate of 0.86%.
The weekly positivity rate stands at 1.30%. In terms of testing, a total of 92.84 crore tests have been conducted thus far, including 1,42,695 tests conducted in the last 24 hours. These statistics highlight the extensive efforts being made in India to combat the COVID-19 pandemic through a robust vaccination campaign, low active caseload, high recovery rate, and consistent testing protocols.
