These deceptive sites, created by unknown individuals or bogus agencies, fraudulently claim to offer LPG distributorships and Retail Outlet dealerships, extracting money in the process.
Identifying the Deception
To deceive unsuspecting applicants, the layout of these fake websites closely mimics the authentic OMC websites, namely www.lpgvitarakchayan.in and www.petrolpumpdealerchayan.in. The deceptive actors behind these schemes are targeting innocent individuals, sending fake emails allegedly from OMCs, and using OMC logos on their letterheads to solicit funds in the guise of offering distributorships and outlets.
Official Warning and Guidance
The public is strongly advised to rely solely on the official websites of OMCs for authentic and official information. The legitimate websites for LPG distributorships and Retail Outlet dealerships are www.lpgvitarakchayan.in and www.petrolpumpdealerchayan.in. This cautionary measure aims to protect individuals from falling victim to unscrupulous elements seeking to exploit them.
Action Steps for Public Safety
If individuals receive any communication regarding LPG distributorships or Retail Outlet Dealerships, they are urged to immediately contact the nearest bona fide office of the relevant Oil Company. Caution is advised against sharing personal information or remitting any money without verification. In cases of suspicion or attempted fraud, the public is encouraged to lodge a complaint with the cybercrime branch of the police.
