UP Police Recruitment 2023: The UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has recently initiated the process of direct recruitment for 921 positions, encompassing Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASI) and Sub Inspectors (SI) in various cadres, including Confidential, Clerical, and Accounts. The recruitment drive aims to bolster the police force with competent individuals and has invited online applications from eligible candidates from January 7 to January 28.
DG Renuka Mishra, Chairperson of the Recruitment Board, provided details about the available positions, stating that there are openings for 268 Sub Inspectors of Police (Confidential), 449 Assistant Sub Inspectors (Clerk), and 204 Assistant Sub Inspectors (Accounts). Interested applicants are required to pay an application fee of Rs 400. The eligibility criteria include a minimum age of 21 years by July 1, 2023, and a maximum age of 28 years, implying that candidates should not have been born before 1 July 1995 or after 1 July 2002.
Recruitment Process Overview
Following the submission of applications, the board will conduct a thorough scrutiny of the forms. The next stage involves an online written examination, carrying a total of 400 marks with 200 questions. The examination will cover various subjects, including General Knowledge/Computer Knowledge, General Information/Current Affairs, Numerical and Mental Ability Tests, and Mental Aptitude Test/IQ Test/Logical Test.
Educational Qualifications
The educational requirements differ based on the specific position:
- Sub Inspector (Confidential) and Assistant Sub Inspector (Clerical): Candidates need to have a graduation degree along with an O-level certificate in typing and computer.
- Assistant Sub Inspector (Accounts): Aspiring candidates for this position should possess a bachelor’s degree in commerce along with an O-level certificate in typing and computer.
These qualifications are crucial for ensuring that candidates possess the necessary knowledge and skills required for effective performance in their respective roles within the police force.
