As of now, India has administered a total of 220.66 crore vaccine doses as a part of its nationwide vaccination drive, out of which 95.21 crore have been second doses and 22.87 crores have been precautionary doses. In the last 24 hours alone, 327 doses were administered. The current active caseload in India stands at 44,998, which is just 0.10% of the total cases. The recovery rate is at an impressive 98.71%, with 5,356 recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,42,10,127.
Unfortunately, there were 10,158 new cases recorded in the last 24 hours, which is a cause for concern. The daily positivity rate is at 4.42%, and the weekly positivity rate is slightly lower at 4.02%. However, it’s important to note that India has conducted a total of 92.34 crore tests so far, with 2,29,958 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.
Overall, while the rise in new cases is worrying, India’s strong vaccination drive and high recovery rate provide hope for the future. It’s important for everyone to continue following all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
