India’s nationwide vaccination drive against Covid-19 continues to bring tremendous results as more and more people get immunized every day. As of now, a total of 220.65 crore vaccine doses (95.20 crores second dose and 22.86 crore precaution dose) have been administered so far. This is a significant milestone in India’s fight against the pandemic.

In the last 24 hours, 6,553 doses have been administered, taking the active caseload down to 15,208, which is a mere 0.03 percent of the total population. The recovery rate stands at a whopping 98.78 percent, with 1,390 new recoveries in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 4,41,69,711.

Meanwhile, the new cases recorded in 24 hours stand at 3,095. With the daily positivity rate at 2.61 percent and the weekly positivity rate at 1.91 percent, India is on track to make the biggest progress against the pandemic yet.

The government’s effective vaccination drive, coupled with the people’s collective efforts, is the reason why India is on its road to recovery. We hope that more and more people will get their vaccine doses soon and that India will be successful in curbing the pandemic.
