As of the latest update, a total of 220.66 crore vaccine doses have been administered across India as part of the nationwide vaccination drive. This includes 95.21 crore second doses and 22.87 crore precaution doses. In the last 24 hours alone, 172 doses were administered. India’s active caseload currently stands at 47,246, which is just 0.11% of the total cases reported.
The country’s recovery rate currently stands at an impressive 98.71%, with 6,037 recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 4,43,70,878. However, there were 4,282 new cases recorded in the same period, with a daily positivity rate of 4.92% and a weekly positivity rate of 4.00%.
The total number of tests conducted so far is 92.67 crore, with 87,038 tests conducted in the last 24 hours. These statistics highlight the progress India is making in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, with a significant portion of the population already vaccinated and a low active caseload.
