India’s nationwide vaccination drive has been a huge success so far, with 220.66 crore total vaccine doses being administered. Out of these, 95.21 crores are second doses and 22.87 crores are precautionary doses. In the last 24 hours, 2,334 doses were administered, indicating the effectiveness of the drive.
The active cases of COVID-19 in India currently stand at 28,303 which is a mere 0.06 percent. With new cases going down and recoveries going up, the recovery rate is currently at a high of 98.75 percent. There have been 3,320 recoveries in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 4,41,85,858.
On the other hand, 6,050 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, thus indicating a downward trend in the daily positivity rate which is currently at 3.39 percent. The weekly positivity rate stands at 3.02 percent.
India’s nationwide vaccination drive has made a laudable effort to contain the spread of the virus, and the data shows that it is well on its way to success.
