The number of people getting vaccinated in India is increasing every day under the nationwide vaccination drive. According to the latest statistics, a total of 220.66 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far; including 95.21 crore second doses and 22.87 crore precautionary doses. 1,963 doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
The active caseload in India currently stands at 31,194, which is a percentage of 0.07%. In the last 24 hours, 3,253 patients have recovered, taking the total number of recovered patients to 4,41,89,111. The recovery rate is currently at 98.74%.
In the last 24 hours, 6,155 new Covid cases were recorded, taking the daily positivity rate to 5.63%. With a weekly positivity rate of 0.83%, it shows that the number of cases is on a decline.
Overall, this data shows an encouraging sign for India’s fight against Covid-19. With increased administration of vaccine doses and daily recoveries, it indicates a steady decline in the number of active cases.
