According to the Union Health Ministry data on Friday, active cases in the country increased to 1,01,830.

–There were 15,754 new COVID cases recorded on Friday, and 39 people died from the virus.

According to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Friday, India saw a single day rise of 15,754 new coronavirus infections taking the total tally of COVID-19 cases to 4,43,14,618, with the active cases increasing to 1,01,830.
The death toll which was updated at 8 am stated that it climbed to 5,27,253 with 47 fatalities including eight deaths reconciled by Kerala.
The health ministry said that the active cases comprised 0.23 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.58 per cent.
The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 4,36,85,535, while the overall fatality rate has been 1.19%.A total of 209.27 crore doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in india so far under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive, according to the ministry.
