Rising to Fame with ‘Mohabbatein’
Born on August 18, 1980, Preeti Jhangiani began her journey in the entertainment world through modeling. Her first taste of the limelight came with Rajshree Production’s music video ‘Yeh Hai Prem’, which became a hit. She gained further recognition through TV commercials, notably ‘Neema Sandal Soap’. In 1999, she made her acting debut in the Malayalam film ‘Mazhavilla’ and the Telugu film ‘Thammudu’. Her big break in Bollywood came with the iconic film ‘Mohabbatein’, where she portrayed a simple widow in a white suit and chiffon dupatta, captivating audiences with her performance.
A Varied Film Journey
Following ‘Mohabbatein’, Preeti appeared in several other Bollywood films like ‘Awara Pagal Deewana’, ‘Chand Ke Paar Chalo’, ‘Tera Kya Kehna’, and ‘LOC Kargil’. However, she didn’t replicate the same success as in ‘Mohabbatein’, which led her to step back from the film industry.
Life Beyond the Silver Screen
Preeti’s life took a new direction when she married model and actor Praveen Dabas in 2008. In 2011, she became a mother to a son named Jaiveer. With two children now, Preeti focuses on her family and resides in Bandra, Mumbai. Although she’s no longer active in films, Preeti’s charm and beauty remain intact. Her enchanting smile still captivates her fans, as evident from her social media posts.
Staying Connected Through Social Media
While her acting career may have taken a backseat, Preeti continues to engage with her fans through social media. She often shares workout videos and photos, giving fans a glimpse into her daily life. Despite the passage of time, Preeti Jhangiani remains a cherished figure in the hearts of her admirers.
