Preity Zinta, the Bollywood actress, has kickstarted the shooting for her upcoming film “Lahore 1947,” marking her return to the big screen after a hiatus. The actress, known for her versatile performances, took to her official Twitter handle to share a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes moments from the sets of the Rajkumar Santoshi directorial.
Preity Zinta Returns to Big Screen with ‘Lahore 1947’
In her tweet, Preity posted a series of photos captioned, “On set for Lahore 1947,” accompanied by hashtags such as ‘new movie’ and ‘shooting.’ The film, produced by Aamir Khan, is set against the backdrop of pre-Partition India.
Reuniting with Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta’s co-star from previous hits like “Hero: Love Story of a Spy,” “Farz,” and “Bhaiyaji Superhit,” the duo brings their chemistry back to the screen. Sunny Deol, who made a triumphant return with “Gadar 2” last year, adds to the anticipation surrounding “Lahore 1947.”
‘Lahore 1947’ Update:
Joining the stellar cast is veteran actress Shabana Azmi, whose character is said to play a pivotal role in the period drama, as revealed by director Rajkumar Santoshi. Furthermore, the film boasts an impressive lineup with AR Rahman and Javed Akhtar contributing to its musical and lyrical elements.
