The ancient festival dedicated to the worship of the Sun God, which is dominated in the states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, and the Madhesh region of Nepal, is about to happen on October 30. Chhath Puja, Surya Shashti, Chhath, Chhathi, Chhath Parv, Dala Puja, and Dala Chhath are all popular names for the festival.
The presence of the Vedic period is marked by sages who used to perform fasts for days and recite mantras from the Rig Veda. Puja is considered a four-day folk festival. It begins with the Kartik Shukla Chaturthi and ends with the Kartik Shukla Saptami. Chhath falls twice a year, once during the Chaitra month and once during the Kartika month.

The sun is the God of light and the powerhouse of energy. The existence of the universe is due to sunlight. Chhath means six and falls in the sixth month of the Hindu calendar which is known as Kartik month. A strict fast plays a significant role in the lives of the devotees for the four days the puja is performed. Vrati are the people who keep this fast. The exposure of direct sunlight to the sages performing fast in the early Vedic period is believed to have been caused by Chhath puja. This day is also related to the epic mythology of Mahabharat. This is the story of Draupadi and Pandavas, who observed the festival Chhath to get rid of problems related to their lost kingdom.

An environmentally friendly festival that involves the elements of the universe being worshipped and paid attention to, the day is considered. This festival goes beyond the caste differences that exist in Hindu society, which is the best part. This day, offerings are made from various river banks through prayers and rituals.
