The Day That Changed History: The Day May 11th is Remembered

May 11th is the day that changed history. On this day, a 34-year-old woman gave birth to a daughter and in so doing, she saved our world. Yes, I am talking about the baby girl whose name was Johanna, and her mother’s name was Mary Shelley.

What happened on 11 May 1945

On 11 May 1945, Allied forces successfully invaded Nazi-occupied Europe, thus marking the end of World War II. The day is now celebrated annually as Victory in Europe Day.

The victory marked the end of a bloody and brutal conflict that claimed the lives of millions of people across Europe. It also led to the abolition of Nazi Germany and the liberation of millions of prisoners of war.

Many people around the world are still affected by the war today. Many innocent civilians were killed as a result of the conflict, and many more were left homeless and traumatised. The memory of the war lives on in many survivors’ minds forever.

How did the battle of Germany end
