Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has lauded the transformative impact of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dynamic leadership, citing significant progress in infrastructure development. Khandu fondly remembered the late Finance Minister, Shri Arun Jaitley, for his instrumental role in allocating funds in the Union Budget 2018 for the construction of the tunnel under the challenging Sela Pass.
Khandu expressed deep gratitude for the guidance of Honorable Prime Minister Modi, asserting that under his direction, the region has witnessed the realization of all-weather connectivity. He specifically acknowledged the commendable efforts of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) in orchestrating this transformation.
“Highlighting the significance of the Sela tunnel, Khandu emphasized that, until 2018, the Sela Pass posed insurmountable challenges. However, thanks to the concerted efforts and strategic vision under PM Modi, the region now boasts a robust and reliable connection. The Chief Minister commended the engineering marvel that is the road leading to the Sela tunnel, overcoming geographical obstacles and providing a crucial lifeline for the region’s connectivity”.
In essence, CM Pema Khandu’s words underscore the tangible impact of visionary leadership in fostering development and connectivity, transforming once-inaccessible terrains into thriving conduits of progress.
