‘Adi Shaurya – Parv Parakram Ka’ Day Is Being Organized on 23 To 24 January.

Ministry of Tribal Affairs is organizing a Military Tattoo and Tribal Dance Festival ‘Adi Shaurya – Parv Parakram Ka’ on the special occasion of Amrit Mahotsav with the Indian Coast Guard as the coordinating agency along with the Ministry of Defence. To mark the 126th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose (Parakram Divas) on 23 and 24 January 2023 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.

The festival is set to exhibit the prowess of the Armed Forces in a Military Tattoo and feature different power-packed dance performances by tribal communities showcasing the beauty of India’s diverse tribal culture from across India.

Tribal dance troupes have arrived at the venue from Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, and more states. You will witness exquisite dances such as Gaddi Nati from Himachal Pradesh, Siddhi Dhamal from Gujarat, Purulia Chhau from West Bengal, and many more.

To supervise the day’s rehearsal, Mrs. R Jaya, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, visited the venue yesterday i.e. 19 Jan 2023. He also held a review meeting with senior officials from the Ministry of Defence, Indian Coast Guard, and Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

The dress rehearsals for the spectacular events, especially the tribal dances, have been ongoing for some time now with props. More than 1200 performers are refining their art forms and are set to mesmerize the city with their enthralling performances.

Tribal art is being used to decorate the venue both inside the premises and outside the stadium complex to attract visitors. Both ministries’ senior officials are keeping a check on the preparations to ensure the event’s grand success.

A final spectacular display will showcase a performance by famous playback singer Shri Kailash Kher along with a coming together of the performers of both the military tattoo and the tribal dances. The venue is expected to have over 60,000 people on both days.
