The political landscape of Karnataka mourns the loss of a stalwart today as BJP MP Shri V. Srinivasa Prasad bids farewell to this mortal world. His passing marks the end of an era characterized by unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people he served. JP Nadda, President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), expressed heartfelt condolences to Prasad’s family and well-wishers, acknowledging his indelible mark on the fabric of Indian politics.
Shri V. Srinivasa Prasad’s journey in public service was one defined by integrity, compassion, and tireless dedication. Hailing from Chamarajanagar, Karnataka, Prasad was deeply rooted in the ethos of his community, always striving to uplift the marginalized and empower the underprivileged. His tenure as a Member of Parliament was marked by advocacy for the welfare of his constituents and the nation at large.
However, Prasad’s illustrious political career met an unexpected turn when he announced his retirement from politics in March 2024, citing deteriorating health. This decision came as a shock to many who admired his steadfast leadership and unwavering commitment. Despite bidding adieu to the political arena, Prasad’s legacy continued to resonate, serving as a beacon of inspiration for aspiring leaders and seasoned politicians alike.
Tragically, just a month after his retirement announcement, on April 29, 2024, Shri V. Srinivasa Prasad breathed his last at a hospital in Bengaluru. His demise leaves a void in Karnataka’s political landscape, as well as in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him personally or benefiting from his tireless efforts.
