Born on March 14, 1974, in Mumbai, Rohit Shetty has carved his name among the big-league filmmakers of Bollywood. Known for delivering blockbusters like “Golmaal,” “Singham,” and “Chennai Express,” Shetty hails from a family deeply rooted in the film industry.
His father, MB Shetty, was an action choreographer, stuntman, and actor, while his mother, Madhu Shetty, worked as a junior artist and stuntwoman. Rohit embarked on his journey in the industry at just 17 as an assistant director, starting with Ajay Devgn’s “Phool Aur Kaante.”
His collaboration with Ajay Devgn blossomed into a lasting friendship as they worked together on several films. Over the years, Rohit Shetty has donned multiple hats in the industry, excelling as a director, stuntman, writer, producer, and TV host.
