Dosa, a staple of South Indian cuisine, has captured the hearts and palates of food enthusiasts worldwide. Recently, Bengaluru witnessed a remarkable culinary achievement as a team of 75 chefs, led by Chef Regi Matthew, set a Guinness World Record by creating a colossal 123-foot-long dosa.

This feat, achieved as part of MTR Foods’ centenary year celebrations in partnership with Lormann Kitchen Equipment, showcased the versatility and grandeur of this beloved dish. The mammoth dosa, prepared at the Bommansandra plant in Karnataka, surpassed the previous record of 16.68 meters, setting a new benchmark in the culinary world.

Chef Regi Matthew shared his excitement on social media, expressing pride in the historic milestone achieved at MTR. The event, held on March 15th, 2024, witnessed collaboration with students from M S Ramaiah College of Hotel Management, adding to the celebratory spirit.

The Guinness World Record-winning dosa signifies not only culinary excellence but also a century of tradition, flavor, and innovation.
