Durgapur Steel Plant and IISCO Steel Plant have joined hands with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CMERI). A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on June 5, 2023, by the esteemed officials of the respective entities.
Advancing Technological Expertise
The partnership between Durgapur Steel Plant, IISCO Steel Plant, and CSIR-CMERI aims to enhance technological expertise in the steel industry. CSIR-CMERI, renowned for its research and development capabilities, will collaborate closely with the steel plants to drive innovation and develop cutting-edge technologies. This collaboration will enable the steel plants to stay at the forefront of advancements, improve operational efficiency, and contribute to the growth of the steel sector.
Fostering Research and Development
The MoU signed between the steel plants and CSIR-CMERI signifies a shared commitment to foster research and development activities. By pooling their resources and expertise, organizations can undertake collaborative projects, conduct joint research, and explore new avenues for innovation.
