In a heartwarming gesture of solidarity, the Government of Odisha has extended a generous hand of support to the Aapada Rahat Kosh-2023, earning praise from Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, a prominent figure in the disaster relief efforts.
Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, known for his dedication to aiding those affected by natural disasters, lauded Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik Ji and the entire Odisha government for their contribution of Rs. Five crore to the Aapada Rahat Kosh-2023. This significant donation comes at a crucial time when numerous regions across India are grappling with the devastating impacts of the monsoon season.
In his statement, Sukhu expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the Odisha government’s generosity, stating that their support embodies the spirit of unity and compassion during times of distress. He emphasized the importance of coming together as a nation to provide much-needed relief to those who have been severely affected by the monsoon’s wrath.
The Aapada Rahat Kosh-2023, also known as the Disaster Relief Fund, plays a pivotal role in mobilizing resources to assist individuals and communities affected by natural calamities. This fund provides immediate relief, rehabilitation, and support to those who have lost their homes, livelihoods, and loved ones due to disasters like floods, cyclones, and landslides.
