India’s popular social media app Josh has become one of the biggest names in the short-video market and a respected platform for its creators. Today, we’ll be discussing the success story of one of its creators, Akash, a full-time choreographer from Mumbai.
Background Information
Born and raised in Mumbai, Akash is a 27-year-old B.Com graduate from HR College of Commerce and Economics. He comes from a family where his father works for the government and his mother is a homemaker.
The Assistant Choreographer
Akash’s journey in dance started as an Assistant Choreographer in various dance reality shows. He even had the opportunity to personally train several celebrities, including Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor, one of his favorites. His hard work and talent have paid off as he’s now set to make his Bollywood debut as the main choreographer in an upcoming film.
A Silver Medalist in Indian Hip Hop Dance Championship
In addition to his success in the film industry, Akash is also a silver medalist in the Indian Hip Hop Dance Championship, a proud moment for him, his family, and friends. He dreams of representing India in the Hip Hop International in the USA.
Akash’s Journey
Akash’s dedication to his craft can be seen in his daily routine of practicing for at least 2 hours, both when he trains others and when he jams with his friends. He started his journey with Josh last year when he choreographed a music video featuring the app’s influencers. After being invited to the Creatorthon event in Jaisalmer, Akash had the opportunity to share the stage with Malaika Arora.
Advice to Other Artists
When asked for advice to other artists, Akash encourages them to make their own trends instead of following others. He believes that an individual becomes an artist when they create something new.
Akash’s journey from training Bollywood stars to winning a silver medal in the Indian Hip Hop Dance Championship is truly inspiring. We wish him the best of luck in fulfilling his dream of representing India in the USA and look forward to seeing more of his work in the future.
